Potassium Chloride (Kcl) is a Commonly used K fertilizer in the world, which provides two essential nutrients (K and Cl) for plants.

Inside the plants, Potassium Involves with the movement of water, nutrients and Carbohydrates In plant tissue, involves with enzyme activation inside the plant, which affects protein, starch and Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) production. Potassium also helps to regulate the opening and closing of the stomata, which regulates the exchange of water vapor, carbon dioxide and oxygen.

පොටෑසියම් ක්ලෝරයිඩ් යනු ලෝකයේ බහුලවම භාවිත වන පොටැසියම් අඩංගු පොහොරක් ලෙස හැඳින්විය හැක. තවද මෙහි පොටැසියම් වලට අමතරව ක්ලෝරින් (Cl) යන ශාක පෝෂකය ද අඩංගු වේ. ශාකය තුල ජලය පරිවහනයට, පෝෂක, කාබෝහයිඩ්‍රේට් පරිවහනයට පොටෑසියම් අත්‍යවශ්‍ය වේ. තවද ශාකය තුළ එන්සයිම ක්‍රියා කිරීම සඳහා K  වැදගත් වේ. එම එන්සයිම මගින් ශාකය තුළ පිෂ්ඨය සහ ATP නිෂ්පාදනය උත්තේජනය කරයි. තවද ශාක පත්‍ර වල පුටිකා සිදුරු විවර වීමේ සහ වැසීමේ යාන්ත්‍රණයට K සෘජුවම දායක වේ. එමගින් ශාකය තුළට අවශ්‍ය ජල වාෂ්ප, කාබන්ඩයොක්සයිට් සහ ඔක්සිජන් ප්‍රමාණ යාමනය කිරීමක් සිදු කරයි.
